Excellent coffee.. I have been using Wolfgang Puck gourmet.. but I have to say this is simply the best dark roast I have had! Plus it's for a good cause.. can't beat the combination of value, price, flavor, and good intentions!

I didn't expect anything to beat out the dark roast and espresso flavors from Senseo but this one has done it! For me, it seems to be about having a bit more coffee in each pod and a flavor that's great and a price that can't be beat!

I purchased this item because it was on a special through Amazon. I'm not happy with the taste. While I don't mind good dark roast coffee, and especially Kona coffee, I really dislike the taste of this particular variety. It tastes like the beans were charred instead of roasted. I take my coffee black, and without milk this stuff is not very tasty.
In fairness I've only opened one of the 6 bags of pods I paid for. It is possible that a later bag might taste better.
Instead of this I'd recommend either Aloha Island Coffee KONA-POD, Lava Java Dark Roast, Kona & Hawaiian Coffee Blend, 36-Count Coffee Pods or Senseo Kona Blend Coffee (10% Kona Coffee Blend), 16-Count Pods (Pack of 6).

I originally bought this because of the wonderful price, at that time. I was happy to find out, that it is truely a wonderful coffee. Very dark, bold and flavorful. Will order again when it comes in stock again.

This is my opinion of the Café Halo Dark Kona Blend coffee pod. Café Halo describes this pod as a touch of Aloha with a smooth, balanced, luscious taste from the highest grade of hand-harvested Kona coffee roasted and blended to perfection producing a bold, rich, full flavor with a notable harmony. The dry pod smells fresh and earthy while the brewed aroma is mild. The first taste presents mild, tingly acidity with a sweet caramel finish. The mouth feel is medium and smooth. As it cools the cup livens up a bit on the tongue while a nice dark roasted bittersweet flavor rounds out the finish. This 7.5g pod brewed at the 7oz drop is really smooth and balanced. At $14 for 96 pods, these are without any reservation, a real value.
