I am no expert when it comes to coffee and of course everyone has their own preference as far as strength and tastes go, but I really enjoyed this coffee. I typically do not like flavored coffees or creams, but the hazelnut is very mild and does not overpower the coffee. My wife enjoys it and the price is very fair. Also I like the smaller size of the bags because they wont sit around for a long time losing flavor and freshness.

This is a decent ground coffee with a mild hazelnut flavor. I would give it a good solid four stars. What I did not appreciate was the difficult packaging; I believe in freshness too, but this took me a long, frustrating time to get into -- yikes!!

My husband loves coffee and he found this product to be very good. The first thing he notice when he opened the package is the wonderful rich coffee smell, and yes it tastes as good as it smells. He uses 7 1/2 to 8 scoops for a 12 cup pot since he like his coffee a little on the stronger side. He stated that this coffee is low on acidity, plus he has tried the Gevalia coffees, they taste good, but were too acid for people with a sensitive stomach. Once you open the can, store it in the freezer, take it out only when you need to make a pot of coffee, then put it back in the freezer and the coffee will stay almost as fresh as the day you opened the package.

Though I am more of a tea drinker, I do have my share of coffee. I personally enjoy the Hazelnut features a delicate aroma. A flavor like this is perfect dessert coffee; it is a sweet reward anytime. Vanilla Almond is another flavored coffee I enjoy time to time also.

Overall, it's a consistent, smooth, delicious coffee. It does not bite back at you and it doesn't "challenge" your palate. It stands alone (black) and holds its own when mixed with milk and sugar. If I HAD to present a criticism, it might be that the ground stuff is sort of fine which does not make it compatible with certain types of coffee makers. For us, it works wonderfully with my good old Mr. Coffee.

Not much to say about the Melitta Cafe Collection Hazelnut Creme Brulee coffee. The coffee itself was decent enough, although I thought the hazlenut flavor was a tad strong. It wasn't the best coffee I've ever had but was decent enough for an everyday brew. That being said, I wouldn't pay $20 for this product again since I consider it no better than average.

I'm a casual coffee drinker who is more likely to like McDonalds or Duncan Donuts coffee than Starbucks, which I find too burnt. I also like sugar and milk so I'm not obsessing over subtleties of flavor. This coffee was noticably better than supermarket brands and, in my opinion, milder and superior to the fancy brands as well. It is a good quality coffee at a good price and, as a result, a good value. I'd recommend this and would consider this as an every-day brand.

I am a coffee lover and quite picky about my coffees. Every coffee brand claims hand-picked gourmet coffee, so it is hard to find a good bean. As with many things, coffee is a matter of personal taste. I don't like the bitter flavor of Starbucks, for example, which is the result of their trademark roast. I like flavorful coffe that is not bitter. I loved this coffee from Melitta.

It is complex and rich, very european in flavor and not bitter at all. It is surely one of my personal favorites. At any given time I have 6 to 8 coffee varieties at home (both whole beans and ground), yet I find myself choosing this Melitta coffee every time and I am not getting tired of it. You should try it.

This is a "non-offensive" middle of the road coffee. Most coffee drinkers will probably like it, but it's not exactly memorable either. Better than the grocery store variety, not as good as the high end stuff. Another reviewer commented that it reminds them of McDonald's coffee, I would agree with that. McDonald's new coffee isn't bad at all so it's not a complaint.

In our home we prefer coffee that is smooth and not very strong. Dunkin Donuts is preferred to Starbucks. We like this coffee. Not love, but it is pretty good. We have served it to a dozen neighbors. None commented on its taste, but when we asked they all said it was very good (these were all guys who would have no trouble complaining if they didn't like it). My brother, who prefers strong coffee, also said that he really liked it and that it was smooth. So, with a dozen tasters reporting, all liked it, but nobody raved about it. We would buy it again.

So many pods have been disappointing to me, that it's nice to be able to give these a top rating. Every bit as good as their hi-test version. Not bitter, not too strong, and definitely not weak. These pods fit snugly in a new-generation Melitta 1:1 brewer (the one that makes real coffee instead of dark water).

Use of these Halo Decaf pods in my Senseo was very disappointing. The flavor of the coffee was quite mild to flavorless. So whether it's the Senseo coffee maker or the coffee pods is unknown but the results of the combination wasn't good. I did open the pods and used the coffee grounds in my four cup Mr Coffee maker. It actually made pretty good coffee. The pods, however, are too costly to use as premeasured one cup packs for a drip coffee maker. I won't buy this brand again in pod form.

I use them in my Senseo and if use two together I moisten them first to fit in the pod holder as each pod contains more coffee than the Senseo brand. I am looking forward to sampling all the varieties.
